Trauma-informed psychotherapy
Be held, exactly as you are.
Gentle therapy for trauma, anxiety and grief — working with the mind and the body together, and with the patience that real healing asks for.
“We do not see things as they are. We see things as we are.”Anaïs Nin
Welcome
Reaching out takes courage. Whatever has brought you here — a loss, an old wound, an anxiety that won’t settle, or simply a sense that something needs to change — you are welcome, exactly as you are.
My work is rooted in embodied trauma healing and nervous-system regulation: helping you feel safer in your body, meet your patterns with compassion, and move gently toward the life you want to live.
— Nadiya
Before we go on
Take a moment to breathe
If things feel heavy right now, let’s slow down together. Place your finger on the circle and breathe with it — there is no right way to do this.
Hold to breathe in · let go to breathe out
How I can help
For what you’re carrying
People come to me at many different points in their lives. These are some of the things I work with most often — if you don’t see yours here, you are still welcome to reach out.
I work with adults, couples, families and parents — individually or together, depending on what you need.
My approach
Working with mind and body, together
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I draw on several proven approaches and shape our work around you and your pace — never rushing, never pushing past what feels safe.
Psychodynamic & Integrative
Gently exploring how the past shapes the present, so patterns can loosen and begin to make sense — blended with whatever best fits you.
EMDR
A structured, well-researched method for easing the grip of painful memories, so they feel less raw and no longer run the show.
Internal Family Systems
Meeting the different parts of you — the protector, the critic, the wounded — with curiosity and care, rather than conflict.
Somatic & Breathwork
Trauma lives in the body as well as the mind. Breath and body-based practice help calm the nervous system and restore a felt sense of safety.
Gestalt & Mindfulness
Grounding awareness in the present moment, to notice what is happening inside and respond with more choice and less overwhelm.
Movement & Yoga
Gentle, optional movement woven in where it supports regulation and reconnection — always led by what feels right for you.
Words & reflections
From Nadiya’s journal
Nadiya writes on presence, healing and the quiet in-between — in English and Urdu. A few recent pieces:
A weekly gathering
Circle of Holding
دائرہ سکوت
“A space devoted to safer, more embodied ways of being — with ourselves, and with one another.”
A weekly online hour to slow down, breathe, and be held in company — a place to work with the breath and body when we feel emotionally constricted. No experience is needed; come as you are.
The Holding Space is growing
Emerging from years of therapeutic work, somatic practice and breathwork — witnessing how deeply the body holds survival, protection, overwhelm and the longing to feel safe. It will gradually offer:
- Trauma-informed breathwork
- Somatic & nervous-system practices
- Yoga for regulation
- Group spaces
- Embodied workshops
- Facilitator & practitioner trainings
The intention is not intensity or performance, but safety, pacing, attunement, and embodied presence.
About Nadiya
A warm, grounded companion for the work
“A strong focus on embodied trauma healing and nervous-system regulation.”
I hold a Level 5 qualification in Integrative and Psychodynamic Therapy from CPCAB in the UK. I am a Certified EMDR Practitioner, an IFS-trained practitioner, and a certified Somatic and Breathwork Trauma Healer.
My practice brings together talking therapy and body-based work, because lasting change so often needs both. Based in Lahore, I see clients online and in person, and I take care to make each space feel safe, unhurried and free of judgement.

Sessions & what to expect
Simple, clear and at your pace
Here is how working together usually looks. If anything is unclear, just ask — there are no silly questions.
Getting started
Reach out by email to say a little about what is bringing you to therapy. We’ll find a time that works and take it from there — no pressure to commit before you’re ready.
Online & in person
Sessions are available online from anywhere, or in person in Lahore. Online sessions just need a private, quiet space and a steady connection.
Who I work with
Adults, couples, families and parents — individually or together. We’ll shape the work around your needs.
Confidentiality
What you share stays private, within the usual professional and legal limits around safety. We’ll go through this together at the start.
Fees
Session fees are shared on enquiry. Please email to ask about current fees and availability.
Cancellations
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule, so your time can be offered to someone else if needed.
Booking
Request a session that fits your week
Tell me a little about what you’re looking for and when tends to suit you. I’ll reply personally to confirm a time — there is no obligation, and you can change your mind at any point.
Contact
Take the first small step
